Built as the grand dame of Nassau hotels in the early 1900s, the British Colonial Hilton Nassau still holds its reign as a Bahamian landmark for both style and comfort. Accented with gleaming marble floors and arched sky-lighted ceilings, the building’s design exemplifies colonial Nassau elegance. Now, after a $70 million refurbishment in 2004, the Hilton continues to offer plush, upscale accommodations from its central location between the city’s harbor and busy downtown.

The hotel features more than 291 rooms and suites, most with views of the ocean or island. The tastefully appointed, contemporary rooms are accented with sleek mahogany furniture and luxuries such as marble-lined bathrooms. Plenty of modern amenities are in place such as climate control, cable television, in room hi-speed Internet access, pay-per-view movies and video games.

This classic hotel also has a few lesser-known features that may delight and surprise. In addition to its deep-seated colonial past, the British Colonial Hilton Nassau has also made history as the location for two James Bond movies. There is even a “Double-O” suite stocked with James Bond movies and decorated with James Bond posters on the wall.

The Patio Grille & Beach Bar

Whether you're sampling one of our many tropical concoctions or diving into a tantalizing sandwich there couldn't be a better place to be. The amazing view of Nassau Harbor and Paradise Island provide the ideal backdrop for a leisurely day in the sun. The Patio Grille & Beach Bar is open for lunch 7 days a week at 11:00am.

Blackbeard's Cove Lobby Bar

Happy Hour from 4:00pm to 7:00pm everyday. Adjacent to the Portofino Restaurant, this cozy bar overlooking the garden and Nassau Harbour, is a great place to meet your friends and business associates. Enjoy your favorite cocktail or have a light snack during bar hours. Blackbeard's is open for light snacks from 4:00pm until 11:00pm.

Portofino Restaurant

This fun, casual restaurant located on the first floor, serves International favorites with a Caribbean flare. At breakfast and lunch, choose from our a la carte menu or browse the extensive array of local and International specialties displayed on the buffets. At dinner while seated at a window overlooking the garden, enjoy the excellent service, flavor and presentation of your choice from our a la carte menu. Portofino is open for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Try our special Bahamian Buffet on Friday nights or our delicious seafood buffet on Saturday nights.

Palm Court Lounge

The Palm Court Lounge is the perfect spot within the hotel to enjoy a drink or a light snack after a shopping adventure on "Bay Street."
