Deliciously Unique Bahamas Tours – Part Two: Now You’re Cooking!
Posted by: Nassau Paradise Island on September 16, 2014
Earlier this month in the first entry of our three-part series, Deliciously Unique Bahamas Tours, we took a tasty trip around Nassau, courtesy of the fabulous folks at Tru Bahamian Food Tours. (If you missed our blog about Tru Bahamian’s “Bites of Nassau Food Tasting & Cultural Walking Tour”, be sure to check it out here.)
This week in Part Two of Deliciously Unique Bahamas Tours, we’re shining the culinary spotlight on the world-renowned Graycliff Hotel; well, to be more accurate, we’re talking food, glorious food! with cooking classes at Graycliff. So if you’re you an aspiring chef, or have always wanted to slice, dice, and sauté your way around the kitchen of one of the most acclaimed restaurants on Earth, here’s your chance!
Graycliff Hotel & Restaurant Cooking Classes
Nassau Paradise Island’s historic Graycliff Hotel & Restaurant opens its kitchen doors to you for a unique and interactive cooking experience like no other. The internationally renowned five-star restaurant offers you a hands-on class where you’ll cook alongside Executive Chef Elijah Bowe and his team. Learn how to prepare and cook a variety of pre-selected mouth-watering dishes from the restaurant’s menu like conch chowder, foie gras with black truffles, rack of venison, and more.
The best part is that after your class, you’ll get to eat your delectable meal paired with a glass of wine from Graycliff’s famed wine cellar. (With over 275,000 bottles of wine, it’s one of the largest private collections of wine in the world!) At the end of your delicious experience, you’ll receive copies of the recipes from the class and a Graycliff Culinary Academy apron, so you can practice your culinary masterpieces at home. It’s a little piece of Paradise you’ll get to wear and share in any kitchen.
Since you’re already on the Graycliff premises, be sure to visit Graycliff Chocolatier—The Bahamas’ first interactive chocolate factory—where you’ll discover a wide selection of handcrafted chocolates, and sweets and treats. You can also book a tour at Graycliff Chocolatier, too, where you can have your own “Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory” experience in Paradise.
Dates, Times, Cost and more: Contact Graycliff Hotel & Restaurant for more information about times, costs, and dates for both the cooking class and chocolate factory tour. All tours are by appointment only.
