Next door to Government House and only minutes away from Nassau's white sand beaches, the Graycliff is a quiet, relaxing retreat. A pioneer of luxury in this section of the world, the Graycliff has the distinction of having the first swimming pool in The Bahamas and the first five-star restaurant in the Caribbean.

Originally, Graycliff was the residence of Captain John Howard Graysmith. It has since then hosted legendary guests including Sir Winston Churchill and the Beatles. The former private home blends refined, old-world flavor with distinctly modern conveniences. The intimate Graycliff Hotel provides 20 guest rooms and decorated in rich woods and luxurious fabrics and set among lush courtyards with ponds and fountains.

Rejuventate Yourself
There are two swimming pools on site, one of which is a 25-meter pool that was the first to be built in The Bahamas. The hotel's gym has free weights, weight machines and cardiovascular equipment and a personal trainer is available upon request.

Property Features

Guest Suites
The Graycliff Hotel offers four categories of guest chambers and suites. Each guest room is uniquely named - not numbered. Rooms are air-conditioned and have private baths (many with Jacuzzi tubs), a mini bar, direct-dial telephone, data port, cable television, hair dryer, luxury bathroom toiletries, daily housekeeping and evening turn-down service.

Deluxe Room Located in the main building, overlooking the veranda or gardens and feature a king bed.

Luxury Rooms Located in the main building or in the gardens, offering views of the gardens or foliage of the pool area and include a king bed, two doubles or two twin beds along with a sitting area.

The Suites are similar to the luxury rooms but are considerably larger.

Graycliff Suite Located in the gardens and over the main building, these suites are approximately 1,200 square feet and include a king bed, a large sitting and dining area, an oversized bathroom and a private balcony.

Founded by Graycliff Resort owner, Enrico Garzaroli, The Graycliff Cigar Company is achieving fame worldwide for it's handcrafted cigars, produced within the lush tropical setting of Graycliff's prestigious resort.

An enthusiastic cigar aficionado, Garzaroli dreamed of producing truly top-class cigars that would be perfectly compatible with the fine wine and cuisine that his restaurants were noted for. To realize his dream he partnered with well-known Cuban cigar legend, Cuban Avelino Lara to create Graycliff's high-end, limited production cigars.

Graycliff Wine Cellar
Graycliff's Wine Cellar is world renowned, with an inventory of over 250,000 bottles from over 400 vintners in 15 countries. The cellar is a wine connoisseur's dream, the inventory ranges from such wines as an 1865 Château Lafite to today's most popular vintages. In addition to the considerable wine inventory, Graycliff also boasts one of the largest selections of Cognacs, Armagnacs and Ports.
