It’s Better in The Bahamas: Charlotte’s Tasty Tour

TBFT_Photo_189-LARGETime and again, we hear from our guests that they love the food here in Nassau Paradise Island. With fresh ingredients, a variety of flavors, and a dash of spice, The Bahamas is Paradise for food lovers! Whether you sample must-try authentic Bahamian dishes like conch fritters, indulge in a five-star gourmet dinner, or opt for a quick bite with a million-dollar ocean view, Nassau Paradise Island is full of delicious tastes and unique dining experiences.

One such experience is the Tru Bahamian Food Tour, a fun, informative, and delectable guided tour of downtown Nassau that serves up a perfect pairing of history, culture, and food. During the tour, guests visit seven local restaurants and specialty food shops in Nassau, enjoying a bite to eat or a refreshing beverage at each stop. Along the way, guests are treated to a lively and entertaining historical tour of the city. The three-hour tour is an ideal way to see the highlights of Nassau, learn some Bahamian history, and sample some of our best local dining as well.

In April, Charlotte and her husband visited Nassau Paradise Island to celebrate retirement, and today they’re still raving about the Tru Bahamian food tour. In fact, Charlotte says The Bahamas has the best food of any of the Island countries she’s visited!

“(The tour is) a great way to learn about the history of The Bahamas and sample some delicious foods we might not otherwise get the chance to try,” Charlotte says. “(It’s) perfect for adults and kids would probably enjoy it too.”

In addition to the food tour, Charlotte also enjoyed shopping along Nassau’s Bay Street and soaking up some Bahamian sun during her visit.

“We also enjoyed the Straw Market,” she recalls. “It’s a beautiful country and there’s plenty to keep you busy.”
