It’s Better in The Bahamas: Making Family Memories

Posted by: Nassau Paradise Island on September 10, 2016

Make family memories with a Bahamas vacation.Summer may be winding down and kids may be back in school, but the memories from a family vacation in Nassau Paradise Island are sure to last. We think guest Janine said it best, “It’s the perfect place to go with kids of all ages. We saw babies, toddlers, and bigger kids, and there is so much to do for children in The Bahamas.”

We’ve heard so many wonderful stories from your family trips that we wanted to share some with you. After all, your kids may think that summer is the best, but it’s always Better in The Bahamas.

Atlantis Resort is a family favorite, and it’s no wonder. With 20 swimming areas, 11 pools, including three kids pools, water slides, and river rapids, there’s a whole day of kids activities at the resort’s Aquaventure water park alone! “The aquarium at Atlantis Resort is incredible!” said Cheryl of her family trip. Dolphin Cay was a highlight for Ruth and her children. “The Dolphin Shallow Water Interaction at Atlantis Resort was amazing!” she recalled.

Atlantis Resort isn’t the only place to see animals up close. The beautiful Ardastra Gardens & Zoo features over 135 birds and animals to marvel at and interact with, including the national bird of The Bahamas, the Caribbean flamingo. Children and adults delight at watching the flamingos perform in unison as if in a dance.

One of the reasons why Nassau Paradise Island is such a perfect family destination is that there is such a variety of things to do. Adventure seekers can try Stuart Cove’s SUB Bahamas experience and nature lovers will enjoy a family horseback ride with Happy Trails Stables. Megan and her family loved Pirates of Nassau. “(We) learned so much at the pirate museum in Nassau!” she shared.

A family vacation doesn’t always have to be about action and adventure. “My favorite part of this vacation was walking on the beach with my daughter,” Jeanie said. Another guest, Aaron, shared his memories from a childhood trip, telling us, “I had an amazing time in Nassau – unforgettable, powerful, unique and tranquil. What a rare mix!”

“If you have been thinking about (traveling to The Bahamas) – GO!” guest Angela advised. And we agree! She and her family loved their vacation at the Royal Towers of Atlantis Resort and she got to share a dream of hers with her family – swimming with dolphins. With a variety of accommodations perfect for families, including Comfort Suites Paradise Island, which offers free access to Atlantis Resort to its guests, and a number of family-friendly restaurants throughout Nassau, there’s an experience that every member of your family will enjoy.
