It’s Better in The Bahamas: Sue’s Bahamian Family Vacation
Posted by: Nassau Paradise Island on May 16, 2015
The Bahamas is well-known as a great family vacation destination. With accommodations to suit families of all sizes and plenty of activities for people of all ages, it’s the perfect place for the young and young-at-heart to kick back and relax. Plus, who doesn’t love a day at the beach? Of course, family vacations are just as fun when your kids are all grown up, as Sue can attest!
In February 2015, Sue visited Nassau Paradise Island with her two adult sons and her daughter-in-law. The family had a personal reason for choosing The Bahamas as their vacation destination. “We lived in Nassau from 1988 to 1989 and I always wanted to come back,” she says. “It’s changed a lot!”
Sue’s favorite experience during her vacation was the Tru Bahamian Food Tour. “It was a lot of fun trying out new foods and restaurants and places of interest!” Sue recalls about the tour, which takes visitors on a three-hour culinary and cultural adventure through downtown Nassau. Participants enjoy seven different tastings, including specialty food stores, local restaurants, and more featuring the best flavors of Nassau Paradise Island as well as fascinating historical, architectural, and cultural insights into The Bahamas
In addition to the Tru Bahamian food tour, Sue and her family loved discovering Arawak Cay’s Fish Fry. “The Fish Fry was a lot of fun to try different foods. The conch fritters were delicious!” she raves
Sue also visited the One&Only Ocean Club and Atlantis Paradise Island and had a great time exploring both properties.
