Posted by: Nassau Paradise Island on July 16, 2016

We love hearing from people who have visited Nassau Paradise Island and sharing your stories, memories, and experiences. From special occasions to family vacations, you have all made some incredible memories while staying in The Bahamas.

Friends having fun on a Bahamas beach.Nassau Paradise Island truly is a special place, full of unique excursions and things to do whether you’re traveling on your own, with family or with friends. This week, we thought we’d share some of your memories.

Paradise Island is perfect for celebrating a special occasion. Just ask Prentice, who celebrated a 2015 birthday in style at The Cove Atlantis, or Bethany who celebrated a bachelorette with her best friends. One of Bethany’s most memorable experiences was a Bahamas Boat excursion to Rose Island. “We ate lunch on the beach and went snorkeling, it was a once in a lifetime experience!” she tells us.

For some, memories from past trips hold a special place, as is the case with Aaron, who still recalls his family vacation in 1994 with fondness, saying, “I had an amazing time in Nassau – unforgettable, powerful, unique and tranquil…how I miss it!” Wanda has been making memories in The Bahamas for the past 15 years with an annual getaway to Nassau Paradise Island. “Beautiful water, the friendliest people, and so much to do!” she says of Nassau. Long-time visitor Shonese was thrilled to start making memories with a whole new generation. “I have been coming to The Bahamas since I was a child and now I’m bringing my own daughter here,” she says, adding, “it feels like home!”

Kiss a dolphin at Dolphin Cay at Atlantis Resort Paradise Island, BahamasMany of our guests made memories while getting out and exploring all that The Bahamas have to offer. Erin and her family loved their boating excursion to Nassau Paradise Island’s neighboring islands, saying, “Seeing the little islands by boat was an incredible experience.” Janine and her family loved their time at Dolphin Cay at Atlantis. “My daughters have always wanted to swim with dolphins,” she says. The experience was a highlight of her family vacation.

Trying new things has led to some memorable experiences for many of our guests. Christina was amazed by the beaches, saying, “the water color is just incredible, just like in photos.” In fact, she was so enthralled by the clear blue waters of The Bahamas that she just had to explore them, taking the time to learn to snorkel while on her trip. “It was easy to pick up even though I’m not a strong swimmer,” she says. During her vacation, Renee “loved waking up early to get a spot on the beach and then exploring Nassau in the afternoon.” She also remembers the incredible food she tried, including sushi at Nobu and hand-crafted chocolate at Graycliff Chocolatier.

A couple strolls on a Bahamas beach. For some, the best memories from their Bahamas vacation are simply relaxing at the beach. “I loved having no agenda every day,” says Jill who spent a week at Atlantis Resort with her husband in February. “Sleeping in, great food…walks on the beach…”, Jill’s vacation truly was about finding some R&R. Ashley was so amazed by the beaches of the Bahamas, that she barely left! “We spent almost every day at the beach from morning to night,” she recalls, saying the beach is “just as beautiful as it looks in photos.”
