The Bahamas Craft Centre
Paradise Island has its own version of a straw market.
Bahamian handicrafts, paintings, sea treasures, blown glass, conch shell jewelry, Junkanoo art, clothing, driftwood paintings, straw work and pine seed dolls. All items that you can easily spot at The Bahamas Craft Centre on Paradise Island.
Snuggled between Hurricane Hole Marina and the Paradise Shopping Plaza, the Bahamas Craft Centre truly has a style of its own. A large pastel Art Deco building – it’s hard to miss! Once you enter, you’ll find 100 booths selling everything from clothing to woven straw goods and everything in between.
The Bahamas Craft Centre on Paradise Island is not only a place where you can test your bartering skills (no price is set in stone and bargains go to the clever and quick-witted!), it’s also a place where you can witness the local artisans work their magic.
