Make your dreams come true, and swim with dolphins! Dolphin Cay at Atlantis, Paradise Island is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that you’ll be sharing photos (and talking about) for years to come.
With a 14-acre lagoon, and 6.6 million gallons of crystal clear seawater, Dolphin Cay has one of the largest and most sophisticated marine habitats and dolphin rescue-rehabilitation facilities in the world. Wade in the water as the adorable dolphins swim around you with the Shallow Water Interaction package, or dive deep into the lagoon to see the world from a dolphin’s perspective with the Deep Water Swim.
Each Dolphin Cay experience starts with you slipping into an Atlantis wetsuit and taking part in an interactive orientation, presented by Dolphin Cay trainers about Atlantic bottlenose dolphins. After the orientation, you’ll cross the sandy white beach and head into the seawater lagoon where you’ll meet your dolphin for the Shallow Water Interaction or Deep Water Swim.
The Shallow Water Interaction package at Dolphin Cay gives you the chance to get close and cuddly with an Atlantic bottlenose dolphin. Wading in waist-deep seawater, the trainer will introduce you to your dolphin and tell you a short story about their life. The dolphin will then swim up to you, give you a big kiss, and happily squeak as it swims away flipping and swirling around the water—it will melt your heart! After your big kiss, the dolphin will then swim beside you for a gentle belly rub. These dolphins are show-offs, so give them lots of attention!
For the Deep Water Swim, the Dolphin Cay trainer will guide you further into the lagoon, where you’ll dive under the surface using a hand-held water scooter to watch the dolphin swirl and swim to the bottom. (Life vests and snorkel gear are provided, but you’re always welcome to swim and dive at your own pace.)
Next, the trainer will ask you to join them as you prepare for the famous Dolphin Cay “foot push”—an exciting trick where the dolphin propels you across the lagoon by pushing the bottom of your feet. It’s an “Oh, wow! Did you get a picture? Please tell me you got a picture!” moment.
If you’re looking for a full day of adventure and marine animal interaction, try the Ultimate Trainer for a Day Package, or get an incredible hands-on encounter with hundreds of stingrays with the Stingray Experience. Oh, and the adventures don’t stop there. Swim with sharks, snorkel the ruins of Atlantis, or make friends with a sea lion. There are more than just dolphins waiting for you!
If you want to unwind while your family or friends are enjoying a little one-on-one time with dolphins, stingrays, and sea lions, buy a Dolphin Cay Beach Pass. Relax in a big comfy beach chair as you watch the dolphins jump and swim just a few feet away. Lounge around, read, or take photos—it’s your time, you decide!
The Dolphin Cay Beach Pass includes use of chaise lounge chairs (with umbrellas), towels, and all-day beachside service with free non-alcoholic beverages. But don’t worry, you won’t be left out from all the dolphin fun—the Dolphin Cay Beach Pass also gives you access to the dolphin orientation. It’s the perfect beach day choice for animal lovers and spectators. (Even though it’s a beach pass, swimming in the lagoon is not permitted; we wouldn’t want your beauty to distract the dolphins from their activities!)
The Dolphin Cay package provides a wetsuit, personal locker, beach towel, and bottled water. The Deep Swim comes with all those goodies, plus snorkel gear that is yours to keep! Oh, and you have all-day admission to Dolphin Cay’s private beach. We do suggest checking your Dolphin Cay package online for details and pricing, as some packages have age and group restrictions.
So which Dolphin Cay experience are you going to choose? We say, “Do them all!” Don’t forget to share your photos, and experiences, with us on our Nassau Paradise Island Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram—show us your dolphin smile!
