The NPIPB is committed to promoting sustainable tourism throughout the destination, as well as actively supporting local community groups, foundations, and educational opportunities through scholarships.
Sustainability
In addition to promoting the eco-friendly initiatives of our members, the NPIPB actively supports the work of the Bahamas National Trust and Bahamas Reef Environment Educational Foundation.
The Bahamas National Trust is a science-based organization dedicated to effectively managing national parks to conserve and protect Bahamian national resources, while BREEF has been dedicated to promoting the conservation of the Bahamian marine environment since 1993.
Year-Round Community Support
As an organization, we believe in empowering local communities through educational opportunities and employment initiatives. We also support the ongoing maintenance and beautification of local landmarks, ensuring they can be experienced for future generations.

Seasonal Partnerships
Throughout the year, the NPIPB supports a number of local events and charities.
- Sir Victor Sassoon Bahamas Heart Foundation, providing support to Bahamian children experiencing heart disease.
- The Dignified Girl Project, committed to ensuring children and adolescents have access to necessary hygiene items, as well as education related to their overall wellbeing.
- Cancer Society of The Bahamas, dedicated to awareness, education, research, advocacy, care, and cure of cancer, serving cancer patients, survivors, their families, and persons at risk across The Bahamas.
- Baha Mar Foundation, which works to establish a bright future for The Bahamas through conservation and education initiatives.
- Hands For Hunger, committed to the elimination of unnecessary hunger and the reduction of food waste through the creation of meaningful and engaging partnerships throughout all sectors of the Bahamian community.
- Bahamas Humane Society, which investigates animal cruelty, offers humane education programmes in schools, provides medical care to animals in need, and much more. The NPIPB’s support coincides with 16 September, which is International Potcake Day.
- Junkanoo Jingle to Bay 5K, an annual fun run featuring 250 Santas rushing down Bay Street and supporting a different charitable organisation each year.
