Spartan Race Kids

August 27, 2022

Spartan, the world's leading endurance sports and extreme wellness brand, will hold its Kids World Championship at Atlantis on August 27th, 2022. The world's toughest junior Spartans will face 26 obstacles along a 2.99-mile course of sand, hardpack, water, and cement on the grounds of the Atlantis Resort.

Athletes in two age groups, 9-11 years old and 12-14 years old, will compete in both boys' and girls' heats for a share of $20,000 in prizes and the title of Spartan Kids World Champion.

The weekend's event will include a Spartan City race for parents and adults. The race is a 3-to-5 kilometer trek through Atlantis and onto the beach. There will also be other events including boat excursions, daily workouts, and workshops.

Changing of the Guard

A tradition since 1958, the Ceremony features the world-renowned Royal Bahamas Police Force Marching Band and Royal Bahamas Defense Force Guards.

It is held every other Friday throughout the year from 11:00-11:30am at Government House.

People-to-People Tea Party

The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism sponsors a complimentary tea party at historic Government House in Nassau on the last Friday of each month from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m., January through May, October, and November.

Hosted by various prominent Bahamian women, you can enjoy local 'bush' teas, live music, view a fashion show by Bahamian designers, and sample locally-made sandwiches and pastries.
