Marathon Bahamas

January 13 - May 14, 2017

A Boston Marathon Qualifier, Marathon Bahamas (marathon, half and four-person relay) is a scenic, fast and flat course.   The course is supported with water, Gatorade, GU Energy, medical assistance and entertainment.  The event culminates with a great post-race party featuring junkanoo. Every Friday night, the Royal Towers of Atlantis, Paradise Island comes alive with the sights and sounds of Junkanoo—and you’re invited! Changing of the Guard

A tradition since 1958, the Ceremony features the world-renowned Royal Bahamas Police Force Marching Band and Royal Bahamas Defense Force Guards.

It is held every other Friday throughout the year from 11:00-11:30am at Government House.

Living History at Fort Charlotte

Every Monday and Wednesday at 11:30 am, the Royal Bahamas Defense Force (RBDF) Rangers perform military drills, play music, and fire the cannon, at noon, in West India Regiment uniforms. Staff of the Antiquities, Museums, and Monuments Corporation (AMMC) are dressed in period costumes to show how people dressed back then and what life was like.
