Posted by: Nassau Paradise Island on October 12, 2016

This November, for the sixth consecutive year, Atlantis Resort will be taken over by eight of college basketball’s finest teams at the BATTLE 4 ATLANTIS. Sports fans and sunshine fans alike are going to want to visit Nassau Paradise Island this Thanksgiving. Here’s everything you need to know about this year’s tournament to help you plan your trip.

The teams facing off during this heart-pounding weekend of head-to-head basketball are Michigan State, Louisville, Wichita State, Baylor, LSU, VCU, St. John’s and Old Dominion.

Teams from this year’s exciting lineup have made it to Final Four an impressive 30 times and five of the eight teams have reached a NCAA Semi-final in the past decade. What does this mean? A weekend full of top-notch basketball.

This tournament is no joke! It’s known as the richest pre-season college tournament for Division 1 Men’s basketball. Not only that, the past two champions of this tournament—the Wisconsin Badgers in 2014 and the Syracuse Orange in 2015—have advanced to the NCAA’s Final Four.

This year’s tournament takes place from November 23 – 25. The action kicks off on Wednesday, November 23 at 12 p.m. with the Wichita State Shockers facing off against the LSU Chaps. Check out the full bracket line-up to see when your favorite team is playing.

Speaking of favorite teams, Atlantis Resort’s School Fan Packages include tickets to every game your school plays in the tournament. Soak up some sun and cheer on your team in Paradise, what better way to celebrate the thanksgiving holiday?

In between games you’ve got an array of options to entertain you at Atlantis Paradise Island. Slip and slide at the Aquaventure, hit the beach, check out the Caribbean’s largest casino or even swim with dolphins! There’s no shortage of fun to be had when you’re in Nassau Paradise Island.

Beaches, basketball, Bahamas. The Thanksgiving weekend of a lifetime is waiting, so start planning your vacation now!
