British Colonial Hilton, Nassau

Built as the grand dame of Nassau hotels in the early 1900s, the British Colonial Hilton Nassau still holds its reign as a Bahamian landmark for both style and comfort. Accented with gleaming marble floors and arched sky-lighted ceilings, the building's design exemplifies colonial Nassau elegance. Now, after a $17 million refurbishment in the summer of 2009, the Hilton continues to offer plush, upscale accommodations from its central location between the city's harbour and busy downtown.
