NASSAU (October 8, 2026) – As travelers look ahead to fall and winter getaways, the Nassau & Paradise Island Promotion Board (NPIPB) is welcoming the season with new hotel experiences, resort enhancements, culinary events, wellness programming, cultural celebrations and limited-time offers across the destination. From refreshed accommodations and new racquet-sport offerings to immersive holiday entertainment and world-class culinary festivals, the diverse portfolio of hotels and resorts continues to evolve, offering new ways to experience Nassau & Paradise Island throughout the fall and winter months.

What’s Happening Across Nassau & Paradise Island

This winter, Junkanoo will once again bring the streets of Nassau to life with one of The Bahamas’ most celebrated cultural traditions. Taking place on December 26 and January 1, the vibrant parades will fill downtown Nassau with elaborate costumes, colorful floats, lively music and dancing, showcasing the creativity, history and spirit of Bahamian culture. Rooted in centuries-old traditions, Junkanoo is a uniquely Bahamian celebration that offers visitors a chance to experience the destination beyond its beaches and resorts, with the festivities creating a high-energy cultural highlight during the holiday season.

New Resort Experiences and Refreshes

Atlantis Paradise Island Bahamas is preparing for a packed fall and holiday season, with new culinary, sporting and entertainment experiences. 

For the holidays, Atlantis will introduce Pomp, Snow & CIRQUEumstance, November 29 through January 8, 2027. Created by Broadway director Neil Goldberg, the immersive production combines acrobatics, aerialists, illusionists, roller skating, juggling, the German wheel and other circus arts in a new holiday experience debuting at Atlantis.

To ring in the new year, the resort is also hosting An Unforgettable Evening Beneath the Stars featuring world-renowned tenor Andrea Bocelli on December 31. Set against the stunning backdrop of The Royal Deck, the evening includes pre-show experiences, Andrea Bocelli’s performance at 11 p.m., a dazzling midnight firework display and a closing DJ set, combining timeless music and world-class artistry to ring in 2027.

To keep the celebrations going, the resort will welcome breakout artist Alex Warren for a live concert on Saturday, January 2, 2027, at Casuarina Beach. Known for his emotionally charged songwriting and high-energy performances, Warren will bring his hit songs and stage presence to one of The Bahamas’ most scenic outdoor stages, adding a distinctly modern sound to the resort’s New Year’s celebrations.

The Ocean Club, A Four Seasons Resort, Bahamas is entering the fall season with refreshed accommodations and an expanded focus on wellness. Reopening on October 8, 2026, the resort will unveil renovated ocean-view guestrooms and suites in its Hartford Wing, featuring brighter, contemporary interiors inspired by the natural beauty of the Bahamian sand and sea. The resort also added two illuminated padel courts in 2026, alongside resurfaced tennis courts and expanded racquet-sports programming.

Wellness takes center stage this season with a series of new programming. From October 16-19, Nora Tobin will lead a “Nature Reset” retreat focused on digital detox, mindfulness and restoration, followed by “Physique 57 in Paradise,” October 23-25, bringing New York-based Physique 57 instructor Torrey Harada to the resort for complimentary oceanfront Pilates and barre classes. A second Nora Tobin retreat, “Holiday Healthy,” will take place December 4-7, focusing on nutrition, fitness, mindfulness and stress management through the holiday season.

Baha Mar is investing $54 million in upgrades across the resort, with enhancements planned for guestrooms, public spaces and resort amenities as it continues to refresh its three-hotel complex. The resort is also anticipating continued growth in 2026, with management forecasting a 14% increase in room revenue. The investment comes as Baha Mar expands its lineup of culinary, arts, entertainment and sporting programming, including the return of The Bahamas Culinary & Arts Festival and the Baha Mar Cup.

To celebrate the New Year, Baha Mar will host a spectacular celebration featuring a live performance by three-time Grammy Award winner Ludacris. On December 31, guests can kick off the evening with the second annual Taste of Baha Mar, a curated culinary experience featuring signature dishes and live-action chef stations, before continuing into the New Year’s Eve Party with premium open bars, immersive activations, live DJ entertainment, dancing and a midnight fireworks display. Families can also enjoy a Kids-Only New Year’s Eve Party featuring glow-themed activities, carnival games, a dance party, movies and a festive dinner buffet.

British Colonial Nassau enters the fall and winter season with significant momentum, following its recognition as the #3 Hotel in the Caribbean & Central America in Condé Nast Traveler’s 2026 Readers’ Choice Awards. The accolade marks an important new chapter for the storied downtown Nassau hotel, which has reemerged following an extensive transformation with redesigned accommodations, refreshed public spaces, elevated dining and renewed waterfront experiences.

The festive season begins on November 27 with A Colonial Christmas, British Colonial’s annual tree-lighting celebration featuring seasonal performances, holiday treats and a festive gathering on the waterfront. December brings a curated calendar of experiences including Festive Afternoon Tea in the Queen Victoria Ballroom, Holiday Portraits and the 12 Days of Christmas, featuring caroling, Christmas storytelling, family activities and other seasonal traditions. Christmas Eve will be celebrated with dinner at Woodes Rogers Tavern accompanied by a live performance from Patrice Murrell, while the season culminates with Midnight on the Waterfront, British Colonial’s New Year’s Eve dinner and countdown celebration.

Goldwynn Resort & Residences is bringing fresh energy to its intimate oceanfront setting. The Penthouses at Goldwynn, a new 14-story residential tower expected to be completed in Q1 2027, will mark the next chapter in the property’s evolution.

At the resort, the signature luxury infinity pool has been refreshed with distinctive Goldwynn branding and is scheduled to reopen in mid-October. This Thanksgiving, guests can catch the football action on a large poolside LED screen while enjoying ocean views and the relaxed atmosphere of a Bahamas escape. Enhanced concierge offerings add a personal touch, helping guests discover the island and tailor their stay to their interests.

With festive-season reservations filling quickly, Goldwynn is preparing to welcome guests with holiday décor, live entertainment and seasonal offerings that bring the spirit of celebration to the shore. From leisurely days by the water to memorable holiday evenings, the resort blends boutique luxury with the warmth and character of The Bahamas.

Culinary, Arts and Cultural Experiences

Baha Mar, home to Grand Hyatt Baha Mar, SLS Baha Mar and Rosewood Baha Mar, will once again bring together culinary and artistic talent from around the world for the fifth anniversary of The Bahamas Culinary & Arts Festival, October 21-25. The festival will feature celebrity chefs, intimate masterclasses, culinary demonstrations, wine tastings and the FUZE Art Fair, which showcases Caribbean artists and galleries.

Highlights include A Taste of Baha Mar on October 23, featuring live chef stations, cocktails and a performance by OneRepublic; an Island Table lunch with chefs Nina Compton and Tristan Epps; masterclasses with Daniel Boulud, Buddy Valastro and Amanda Freitag; and the Culinary Expo & FUZE Art Fair. 

This fall, British Colonial Nassau’s culinary scene continues to evolve with the return of Sakana Noodle & Sushi Bar, now welcoming guests Tuesday through Saturday evenings, while Woodes Rogers Tavern remains a signature destination for waterfront dining, cocktails and entertainment. Seasonal highlights will include a Fall Brunch Takeover at Tamarind Marketplace by Poinciana Magazine on October 25, special dining experiences and Pirates After Dark, a spirited Halloween celebration at Woodes Rogers Tavern on October 31.

Graycliff Hotel & Restaurant is building on its reputation as one of Nassau’s iconic culinary and wine destinations heading into the winter season. Guests can enjoy the property’s historic, culinary, wine, chocolate and cigar experiences, alongside seasonal dining at its renowned restaurant. The property’s wine program includes extensive tastings and pairings, while its Cognateque houses a 9,000-bottle collection of Cognacs, Armagnacs, Ports and other spirits. 

Visitors can also explore their creative side at the Graycliff Candle Factory, The Bahamas’ only interactive candle-making experience, with daily classes at 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., as well as Bahamas Batik by Graycliff, where guests can create their own batik T-shirts, scarves and other items using specialized stamps and dyes during hands-on classes offered daily at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Both experiences are located in the historic Heritage Village at Graycliff and are open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

Atlantis Paradise Island Bahamas will host its fifth annual Nassau Paradise Island Wine & Food Festival from April 14-18, 2027, featuring world-class culinary experiences with award-winning chefs and culinary icons, with the full talent lineup to be announced this fall.

Sports and Recreation 

Baha Mar will welcome a lineup of NCAA men’s and women’s basketball programs to the resort during Thanksgiving week as part of Baha Mar Hoops 2026. The 2026 lineup includes the Baha Mar Championship November 20-21, featuring Wake Forest, Memphis, Purdue and Texas Tech, followed by the Pink Flamingo Championship November 24-26, with a women’s field including Alabama, Ohio State, West Virginia, Belmont, Harvard, Minnesota and South Florida.

The resort will also host the seventh annual Baha Mar Cup December 10-13, a tennis-focused fundraising event hosted by tennis legend John McEnroe and Bahamian tennis icon Mark Knowles. The four-day event will feature clinics, a Pro-Am Tournament, pro exhibition and Celebrity Pro-Am, with proceeds benefiting the Baha Mar Resort Foundation and the Mark Knowles Children’s Tennis Initiative. The weekend will also include a welcome reception, culinary programming and a foundation dinner.

This fall, Rosewood Baha Mar is incorporating lunar-inspired wellness programming with its Full Moon Yoga series, inviting guests to participate in a yoga session centered around the energy of each month’s full moon. The experience features Chandra Namaskar, or Moon Salutations, followed by a visualization meditation designed to align with the moon’s lunar phase. Upcoming fall dates include the Hunter’s Moon on October 25, and Beaver Moon on November 24.

Rosewood Baha Mar is highlighting the marine environment through its Ocean Guardian Experience, an exclusive monthly half-day boating adventure led by Bahamian dive guide and filmmaker André Musgrove alongside a reef specialist from the Perry Institute for Marine Science. Guests can snorkel the BREEF Underwater Sculpture Garden, explore a coral nursery and observe local marine life before a second snorkel stop and a sustainably packaged gourmet lunch prepared by Café Boulud The Bahamas.

Sports fans at Atlantis Paradise Island Bahamas can look forward to the Women’s Battle 4 Atlantis, November 24-26, featuring Davidson, Florida, Notre Dame and West Virginia, followed by the 15th anniversary of the Men’s Battle 4 Atlantis, November 25-27, with Marquette, Memphis, Mississippi State, Penn State, Texas A&M, Virginia, Wake Forest and Xavier competing at Imperial Arena.

Sports will take center stage in 2027 with the return of the Atlantis Collegiate Baseball Series at Andre Rodgers National Baseball Stadium in Nassau. The series will feature matchups between Auburn and Penn State from February 19-21 and Michigan and NC State from March 5-7. Beyond the games, the Atlantis Collegiate Baseball Series makes a lasting impact through a youth baseball clinic featuring student-athletes from participating teams. Local Bahamian youth have the opportunity to learn fundamental skills, receive personal instruction and experience the game alongside some of college baseball’s top players. 

Family-Friendly and Adults-Only Experiences

Sandals Royal Bahamian pairs the beauty of Nassau with an adults-only, all-inclusive experience, where dining, premium cocktails, land and water sports, entertainment and more are all included. But the experience doesn’t stop at the shoreline. A quick boat ride whisks guests to Barefoot Cay, the resort’s private offshore island, where they can swim, snorkel and lounge across two beaches, or slip away to the spa for extra relaxation.

The A Day Away Elopement Package includes a choice of a beach or garden venue, an on-site wedding coordinator, a licensed marriage officiant, fresh floral arrangements and more.

Graycliff Hotel & Restaurant has a new limited-time offer, giving guests 20% off stays of three nights or more. Available for bookings made by November 30, 2026, the offer is valid for travel from January 2 through April 30, 2027, making it a great opportunity for travelers planning a longer escape to Nassau.
