Posted by: Nassau Paradise Island on September 22, 2018

The calendar may tell you summer’s almost over, but here in The Bahamas, summer never ends! Planning a fall getaway is a great way to extend the sun and fun of summer, so don’t pack away your swimsuits and sandals just yet. We’ve got ten reasons to travel to Nassau Paradise Island this fall.

1: Warm days, comfortable nights

From September through December, the average daily high temperature in Nassau Paradise Island is well into the 80s, but nighttime lows average in the high 60s and 70s. These temperatures are ideal for enjoying all the outdoor activities The Bahamas has to offer!

2: Your own private paradise

Traveling during the off-season means fewer crowds and an even more laidback atmosphere. Find the perfect spot on the beach or at the pool, snag a reservation at one of the best restaurants in Nassau Paradise Island. You’ve even got a better chance of finding your ideal hotel room as accommodations have greater availability compared to high season.

3: Exciting new accommodation options

This fall, two new vacation experiences are opening in Nassau Paradise Island. The Cove at Atlantis is re-launching with some sensational new dining options including Sip Sip by Chef Julie Lightbourn. The Cove’s beautiful poolscape will be entirely redone, and the entire area will be infused with local Bahamian artworks that showcase the culture of The Bahamas. Also opening this fall is the second hotel at Baha Mar, SLS Baha Mar. Known for its outstanding service and contemporary luxury, SLS will bring glamor to the shores of Nassau’s Cable Beach.

4: Battle 4 Atlantis

This November 21–23, watch some of America’s top basketball teams battle it out in paradise at this annual sporting showdown at Atlantis, Paradise Island. This year’s teams are from Florida, Oklahoma, Wisconsin, Stanford, Butler, Dayton, Virginia, Middle Tennessee State. Come cheer on your team!

Chat with our friendly locals, and discover some authentic hidden gems.

8: There’s so much to do!

Beautiful beaches, world-class spas, five-star restaurants, and the largest casinos in the Caribbean—you’re spoiled for choice when you vacation in Nassau Paradise Island! And that doesn’t change in autumn. Why not try a new water sport, indulge in a day of pampering, work on your golf game, or simply do nothing at all.

9: Take learning outside the classroom

Back-to-school can be a hectic time of year, but thanks to more than 40 nonstop flights from most major U.S. cities, a quick, restorative escape is a mere plane ride away! There are plenty of hands-on learning experiences to be had in Nassau Paradise Island for kids of all ages! Immerse yourself in the pirates’ life at the Pirates of Nassau museum, create decadent chocolates at Graycliff, fall in love with Caribbean marine life such as dolphins, sharks, and sting rays at Dolphin Cay, Atlantis’ impressive 14-acre marine habitat, or take a cooking class to bring the tastes of Bahamian cuisine back home to you!

10: The timing is just right

There are times when autumn simply feels like a long lead-up to the hectic holiday season, so why not take some time to relax and enter the holidays completely refreshed (and maybe even with a bit of sun on your skin)? In the midst of the holi-daze you can think back to swaying palm trees and white sand beaches. Ahhh…
