What’s your favorite place to have dinner in Nassau?

Work up an appetite before you arrive in Nassau, because there’s no shortage of restaurants to satisfy your palate! Some local favorite eateries include Nobu for dazzling sushi dishes and Olives Meze Grill on Cable Beach for Mediterranean-inspired meals. A new restaurant that locals are loving is Wild Thyme, located on East Bay Street, where you can enjoy decadent steak, seafood, and an authentic Bahamian dessert you’re sure to love: guava duff!

What’s the best place to get a drink in Nassau?

In need of a little refreshment? There are plenty of spots around town to grab a glass of your favorite wine, beer, or a one-of-a-kind cocktail. Located at Baha Mar, Swimming Pig Pub serves a wide variety of beers and other beverages as well as creative appetizers that are perfect for sharing – try the lobster quesadilla! For the best mojitos in the city, head to the stylish Halcyon bar on Charlotte Street in downtown Nassau.

Make sure you bring your phone along while you explore Nassau since there’s no shortage of Instagram-worthy backdrops and views! The souvenirs and crafts at the Straw Market on Cable Beach will make for a colorful snapshot, and photos of the delicious dishes at the Green Parrot on Bay Street will make your friends drool! What’s one local attraction you always tell people to visit?

Depending on your interests, there are plenty of local attractions in Nassau to keep everyone busy! History buffs will love to explore Fort Fincastle, Fort Montagu, and Fort Charlotte. Nassau’s forts date back to the 1700s and provide an engrossing step back in time to a tumultuous period in the city’s history.

If you’re interested in art and culture, a visit to the National Art Gallery is a must. With an impressive permanent collection and temporary galleries featuring works by internationally-recognized artists, the gallery is centrally located in downtown Nassau and costs just $5 to visit.
