Celebrity Spotting in The Bahamas

Posted by: Nassau Paradise Island on November 04, 2015

With our sunny skies, powdery white sand beaches, plentiful pools, and delicious food and drink, it’s no surprise that The Bahamas is a beloved vacation destination to the stars. Plenty of celebrities, including actors and actresses, musicians, and athletes, love to come to Nassau Paradise Island to relax and rejuvenate. Some of them love it so much they even own homes here!

Here are just a few of the celebrities who have fallen in love with Nassau Paradise Island.

Beyoncé and Jay Z: This power couple has reportedly spent time at both The Ocean Club, A Four Seasons Resort, Bahamas and at Graycliff Hotel, where they dined in the five-star restaurant. Bey and Jay aren’t the only celebrities who love eating at Graycliff – model Brooke Shields is also a regular guest at the restaurant.

Cindy Crawford: In 1998, the supermodel married Rande Gerber in a beach ceremony at The Ocean Club. With a picture-perfect stretch of beach and stunning grounds, this resort is the perfect location for a wedding!

Dwayne Wade and Gabrielle Union: The basketball player and actress have been spotted vacationing at The Cove Atlantis, which boasts swanky accommodations and luxe amenities. Singer and actress Jennifer Hudson is another fan of The Cove.

Kerry Washington: She traveled to Nassau Paradise Island to shoot Scandal last year, but Olivia Pope is also a fan of The Bahamas in her downtime as well.

Plenty of celebrities also own property in The Bahamas. Actor Sean Connery fell in love with Nassau Paradise Island while shooting the James Bond film Thunderball here, so he bought a home in exclusive Lyford Cay. Johnny Depp, Nicolas Cage, and Julia Roberts also own property in the area – in fact, Johnny Depp and his wife, Amber Heard, hosted a lavish celebration after their LA wedding earlier this year on the actor’s private island in The Bahamas! Depp purchased the island, Little Hall’s Pond Cay, after shooting Pirates in the Caribbean in The Bahamas in 2004 and reportedly paid $3.6 million for it.
