A Unique Setting for Your Next Event
Graycliff Hotel provides a unique setting in historic downtown Nassau that’s perfect for small, intimate gatherings and larger group events for 300 or more guests.
Graycliff is more than a hotel, it’s an experience. Dating back to the 18th century, this beautiful colonial mansion is rumored to have been built by the pirate Captain John Howard Graysmith. Throughout its illustrious history the hotel has played host to many of the world’s luminaries, including the Duke and Duchess of Windsor, Sir Winston Churchill, Aristotle Onassis, and The Beatles. Today, Graycliff is one of the most unique hotels in The Bahamas, with charming accommodations, exceptional amenities, and award-winning dining.
Combining refined, old-world style with distinctly modern conveniences, Graycliff Hotel features 20 guest rooms set among two swimming pools and lush gardens. It also has the first five-star restaurant in the Caribbean, one of the largest private wine collections in the world, the renowned Graycliff Cigar Company—which produces handcrafted cigars on site—and the Graycliff Chocolatier where visitors can tour the factory for a hands-on experience making chocolate. Surrounded by tropical gardens and with views of the azure sea just beyond, Graycliff provides an intimate and magnificent retreat, deep in the heart of Nassau.
With an inventory of over 250,000 bottles from more than 5,000 vintners in 20 countries, the world-renowned Graycliff Wine Cellar is a wine connoisseur’s dream, and it has won the prestigious Wine Spectator Grand Award every year since 1988. The inventory ranges from such wines as an 1865 Château Lafte to the oldest and one of the most expensive bottles in the world—a 1727 Rudesheimer Apostelwein, priced at $200,000—to today’s most popular vintages.
The Cognateque is unique and a true collector’s gem, with a 9,000-bottle collection featuring incredibly rare bottles from Courvoisier, a Reserve of the founder with only 500 bottles ever made. You’ll also find a selection from the collection of Erte, the French artist and designer, special years from Hardy, and museum pieces like Bottle #1, an 1893 from A.E. Dor. For the Cognac, Armangnac, rum, and other spirit lover in you, the Graycliff Cognateque also offers private tasting sessions.
Graycliff Chocolatier is a tasty destination on the Graycliff Hotel’s historic grounds. As The Bahamas’ first interactive chocolate factory, it features a wide selection of hand-crafted chocolates of varied cocoa strengths, as well as a number of tours. There's also a shop for taking home the perfect sweet treat.
The Graycliff Cigar Company was born when Enrico Garzaroli of the The Garzaroli Family fell in love with cigars but was unable to find the perfect cigar to complement Graycliff’s excellent cuisine and fine wines. The Company began production in January 1997, and what began as a single roller has now expanded to an award-winning boutique cigar company with 16 master rollers and five brands of cigars.
