8 Things to Do at Aquaventure

Posted by: Nassau Paradise Island on May 25, 2016

Whether you’re young or young at heart, a visit to one of the largest water-themed attractions in the world when you travel to Nassau Paradise Island is a must! Aquaventure at Atlantis is a 141-acre water park featuring dozens of pools, rivers, and slides to suit every appetite for adventure.

If you’re an Atlantis guest, simply pick up your park entry bracelet and a towel at one of the towel huts, then dive in.

Ready to make a splash? Here are eight must-try attractions to take in at Aquaventure at Atlantis.

Take a Refreshing Dip

There’s no better way to beat the heat in The Bahamas than with a perfect pool day. With 20 swimming areas and 11 refreshing and distinctly different pools to satisfy the whole family, including three kids’ pools, you’ll never want to leave this swimmer’s paradise. The only question is which pool to pick first!

Poseidon's Playzone

Poseidon's Playzone, our new water-play fort, replaces the resort's Splashers pool.  This new kids' water-play zone within Aquaventure features 40 action-packed water-play elements designed for little adventurers under 54 inches tall.

Dive into Rapids River

Ride your inner tube through the longest river in The Bahamas surrounded by lush, tropical foliage through rolling waves and extreme rapids. Then do it all over again without ever lifting a finger as you are propelled back to the start.

Zoom down the water slides

There’s nothing more exhilarating than taking the plunge down a thrilling, high-speed water slide. From the world-famous Mayan Temple, featuring five one-of-a-kind slides, to the 120-foot Power Tower with its four high-speed plummets, you and your family can take on 18 water slides. Some are adrenaline-inducing, others are kid-friendly – no two are alike!

Meet the marine life

Have you ever dreamed about getting up close and personal with some of the ocean’s most amazing creatures? The Leap of Faith slide offers a daring, nearly vertical 60-foot drop from the iconic Mayan Temple into a clear acrylic tunnel submerged into a shark-filled lagoon. You can’t get much closer than that!

Make a splash

Every vacationing parent has struggled with a “my child is too short for the ride” situation. But at Aquaventure, pint-sized patrons will have a blast splashing in one of the three kids’ pools. Plan for hours of fun for your little ones as they master the mini-water slides and flowing water fountains at Ripples, the climbable animal figures at Poseidon, and the amazing playground featuring tube slides, cargo nets and rope bridges for climbing, and water cannons, fountains and water wheels for endless soaking at Splashers.

Soak up some sun

Sometimes the best thing to do is nothing at all. Take some time to enjoy the sunny skies that brought you to Paradise! Grab a lounge chair next to one of Aquaventure’s many pools and bask in the sun. Some pools provide a secluded place to relax, while others offer perks like reserved seating and beverage and food service.

Find a relaxing retreat

Escape to the shady solitude of a private cabana at The Baths Pool. Conveniently located steps from the pool and water attractions, your outdoor oasis offers everything you need for a family-friendly home base including food and drink services, electronic device plug-ins and a refrigerator.
