Nassau Paradise Island Water Park Guide

Posted by: Nassau Paradise Island on August 21, 2021

Nassau Paradise Island has always been the perfect place to make a splash – but now there are even more ways to have fun in the water during your vacation in The Bahamas! In addition to sparkling swimming pools for the whole family, our water parks are the perfect refreshing reprieve from the warm Bahamian sun.

Craving an adrenaline rush? There’s a speedy slide with your name on it. Grab a pal and a tube and embark on a twisty-turny adventure or kick back and relax in a low-key river ride. Practice your surfing skills, lounge poolside, grab a bite to eat...it’s easy to spend a fun-filled day in the water parks of Nassau Paradise Island.

If you love to go fast...

Aquaventure at Atlantis features 141 acres of slides, pools, and watery attractions, including plenty of speedy slides for the bravest vacationers! Climb the 120-foot Power Tower and choose from four slides that will take your breath away. The Abyss’ vertical drop of nearly 50 feet, plus a 200-foot-long body slide, is not for the faint of heart! Or grab a tube and head for The Drop, which starts off with a thrilling “drop” through a dark tunnel. The Surge is an inner tube ride featuring a drop into a cavern and an exciting whitewater rapids ride.

The extreme free-fall Thunderball slide is a must at Baha Mar’s brand new Baha Bay! Climb the tower and plunge down this high-speed slide...if you dare. Or, for a twist, conquer Devil’s Backbone, where looping, twisting tunnels are guaranteed to thrill even the bravest riders!

If you want to relax…

There’s nothing more blissful than hopping in a comfy inner tube and floating down a lazy river – we could stay there all day! All of Nassau Paradise Island’s water parks have a laid-back river ride for you to enjoy. At Aquaventure, you’ll meander through a mile-long course...just don’t get too relaxed or you might miss the wave surges and a brief section of rapids! At Baha Bay, lie back and enjoy the shade created by the lush tropical foliage lining the river. Punctuated with bubbling waterfalls and shady palms, the lazy river at Fins Up! Waterpark at Margaritaville is the perfect spot to unwind with family and friends.

If you’re looking for something unique…

You’ve heard of diving with sharks...how about sliding with them? At Aquaventure, head to the Mayan Temple’s Leap of Faith. What starts as a heart-pumping 60-foot vertical drops concludes with a high-speed ride through a clear acrylic tunnel surrounded by sharks. If waves are more your speed, Baha Bay’s 500,000 gallon wave pool delivers, with plenty of space for body surfing, floating, and simply going with the flow.

If you’re feeling social…

Feeling a little competitive? The Challenger slides at Aquaventure’s Mayan Temple let you race a pal to the final splash. Or, grab a buddy and head to The Drop, a double inner tube ride that starts with a plunge through the darkness!

At Baha Bay, the Dueling Riptide Coaster offers high-speed racing run for you and a buddy, while Cyclone Rush and Hammerhead’s rafts catapult up to four riders through tunnels, twists, and thrills galore!

If you want to hang 10…

The waters around Nassau Paradise Island are calm and smooth, but if you’re a surfer, don’t worry – you can catch a wave at Baha Bay and Fins Up! Baha Bay’s state-of-the-art FlowCurl surf simulator lets you experience the fun and exhilaration of surfing with no lessons required.

At Fins Up!, the Surf Stream promises to be tons of fun whether you’re an experienced surfer or have never stepped on a board before.

If you’re looking for kid-friendly fun…

Even the smallest guests in Paradise can have a blast at our water parks. Aquaventure’s Jungle Slide is perfect for older kids – enough twists and splashes to be fun, but no unexpected drops or dips. Splashers kids’ pool is great for smaller children and toddlers. This Mayan-themed kids’ pool features kid-friendly slides, climbing areas, and plenty of room to splash around!

At Baha Bay, Stingray Cove’s twisting slides and giant splasher bucket provide hours of fun for older children. At Turtle Beach, shallow pools and just-right slides provide safe, fun water play for smaller guests.

If you’re ready to visit…

With so many fun ways to make a splash – not to mention our beautiful beaches and resort pools – isn’t it time to escape to your Island home right next door?
