Itinerary: Three Days of Wonderful Water Activities

Posted by: Nassau Paradise Island on July 11, 2022

With its crystal clear waters and endless aquatic activities, Nassau Paradise Island is a water lover’s dream. Whether you’re looking to explore underwater worlds home to shipwrecks and vibrant marine life, beach hop from one gorgeous sandy spot to another, or spend the day deep sea fishing, water experiences are better in The Bahamas. So grab your bathing suit and take advantage of the perfect weather in Paradise with these wonderful water activities during your next visit.

Day One: Have a Taste of The Bahamian Waters

Morning: Bask in the Sunshine on the Island’s Beaches

Is there a better way to kick off your visit to Paradise than a dip in the bright blue waters of the Caribbean? Start your day by discovering Nassau’s wonderful white-sand beaches at the popular Cable Beach. Then head off to Caves Beach, one of the more secluded beaches in The Bahamas, to go for a swim and to see the extraordinary limestone caves along the edges of the shoreline.

Next stop: sink your toes in the two-mile stretch of lush sand and the pristine ocean at Cabbage Beach, then wander Arawak beach to float in its calm waters and admire the surrounding palm trees.

A white sand beach contrasts beautiful turquoise waters.

Afternoon: Venture Under the Sea

Spend the afternoon exploring Nassau’s breathtaking sights beneath the waves to see why the Caribbean waters are the best in the world! Hop aboard a 45-foot catamaran on a 2.5-hour snorkeling excursion with Atlantis Marine Adventures to explore the stunning turquoise ocean while you learn about the coral reefs and marine life from an Atlantis Aquarist.

If you’re a certified diver, head out on a half-day dive trip to check out the incredible walls, reefs, and wrecks off the coast of Nassau. Not a certified diver but looking at trying something new? Appreciate the simplicity of snorkeling and the wonders of breathing underwater with snuba diving led by an experienced guide, or try out Atlantis’ scuba classes.

Evening: Sail into the Sunset on a Dinner Cruise

Finish your day with a Sunset Dinner Cruise hosted by Seahorse Sailing Adventures through Paradise Island Harbour to take in the picturesque views of Nassau’s waters and coastline. Relish in the panoramic vistas while you feast on barbeque ribs and lemon pepper chicken, followed by a delicious dessert and, of course, a rum punch. Does it get much better than that?

Day Two: Explore Nassau’s Waters on Land and at Sea

Morning: Embark on a Fishing Expedition

Hop aboard a vessel with Hunter Charters for a fishing expedition to prime angling spots. With just a 15-minute boat ride, you’re reeling in prime Bahamian fish in the heart of world-class deep sea sport fishing or fishing with light tackle around Paradise Island among the reefs. Is fishing not your thing? Hunter Charters also offers sightseeing cruises to Paradise and Exuma Islands.

Afternoon: Make a Splash at a Waterpark

Did you know that Nassau Paradise Island is home to some of the best waterparks in the Caribbean? Feel like a kid again and spend the afternoon at Baha Mar’s Baha Bay, a brand new 15-acre waterpark with a speedy Dueling Riptide Coaster in a brilliant beachfront setting. Have some fun at  Aquaventure at Atlantis, a 141-acre waterscape with a 120-foot Power Tower, high-speed slides, and much more. Or, grab some friends and head to Fins Up at Margaritaville Beach Resort Nassau, Bahamas to test out your surfing skills in SurfStream, or take a ride along the lazy river before zipping down a high-speed water slide.

Evening: Take off on a Sunset Paddle

Paddle through Nassau Paradise Island’s peaceful waters as the sun sets over the Caribbean and admire the natural beauty of The Bahamas. Kayak and paddleboards are available to rent from most beaches, so grab your gear and paddle along the coast to end another lovely day in Paradise.

Day Three: Cruise Your Way Through the Day

Morning & Afternoon: Voyage to a Private Island

Escape to Sandy Toes Rose Island, a secluded Caribbean island just 25-minutes from Nassau Paradise Island. Here, enjoy a full-day excursion and have some fun in the sun with an array of fantastic water activities to make the most of your time in the most beautiful water in the world.

Kick your day off with a welcome drink and spend the day snorkeling, kayaking, and relaxing. At the same time, you can enjoy a variety of amenities such as a private bar, island music, and beach games. After you’ve built up an appetite, indulge in a buffet picnic lunch, then relax on a cozy hammock on your private beach.

Evening: Set out to Sea on a Pirate Ship

Is the pirate life the life for you? Say ahoy to an 18th-century replica pirate ship to live it up with a party hosted by Blackbeard’s Revenge. This ship features water cannon blasts, three decks, two fully-stocked bars, a VIP Captain’s Lounge, and more.
