Itinerary: Five Days of Fun in Nassau Paradise Island

Paradise is full of experiences to enjoy some much-deserved fun in the sun. From horseback riding on our gorgeous beaches to exploring the underwater world on a snorkeling adventure, there are many ways to make the most of your visit to The Bahamas and create unforgettable memories. If you're ready to start planning your perfect days in Paradise, here's a helpful itinerary full of ideas to help get you started.

Day 1: Beachside Picnic, Baha Bay & Bahamian Cocktails

Begin your tropical vacation with a beachside picnic and a refreshing morning dip at the picturesque Cable Beach to unwind from your travels and get a taste of why beaches are better in The Bahamas. Grab your breakfast or early lunch to-go from Café Madeleine or Umami Burger at Baha Mar.

Whether you're feeling like a relaxing day or searching for thrills, Baha Bay, Nassau Paradise Island's newest premium waterpark, is the perfect way to spend your first day in Paradise. With more than 30 attractions, including super-speedy slides, a lazy river, an extreme free-falling slide, nine elevated eateries, and cozy cabanas, you're sure to be smiling ear-to-ear throughout your day at Baha Bay. 

Cheers to your first day in Paradise with one of these must-try local cocktails for the perfect nightcap. Try a Goombay Smash filled with classic tropical flavors like pineapple, coconut, and rum. Or, enjoy the Bahama Mama and relish the delightful flavors of coffee liqueur, coconut liqueur, and Bahamian dark rum.

Day 2: Go Padding & Golf Scenic Courses  

Fun is always in the forecast in Nassau Paradise Island, with kayaks, paddle boards, and boats available to rent at most beaches. Set out to sea on a morning paddle to cruise along our bright blue waters and admire the beauty of The Bahamas. 

With endless ocean views and courses that suit both the beginner and seasoned golfer, you're sure to fall in love with our golfer's Paradise. Get on the green at the 18-hole Ocean Club Golf Course, with jaw-dropping views of the Atlantic Ocean and Nassau Harbour visible from every hole. Or, try your hand at the 18-hole Royal Blue Golf Course at Baha Mar designed by golf's "Golden Bear", Jack Nicklaus. 

After your day of adventure, indulge in an authentic fish dishes from Bimini Road in Marina Village or grab a slice of made-to-order Chicago, Neapolitan, and New York-style pizza from the Pizza Lab, located next to Baha Mar's Show Lake.

Day 3: Beach Hopping & Bahamian Nightlife 

Kick off your third day in Paradise with a delectable breakfast buffet at Poseidon's Table. This buffet restaurant at Atlantis Paradise Island serves international fare inspired by cuisines from around the world. You'll surely leave breakfast satisfied and ready for another day in Paradise. 

Following your morning feast, discover the beauty of The Bahamas' white-sand shores and turquoise waters. Beach hop and check out Nassau Paradise Island's Cabbage Beach, Paradise Beach, Cove Beach, and Awarak Beach to get into an island state of mind, all while basking in some vitamin sea. Rent a bike so you can cruise from beach to beach as long as your heart desires. 

Once the sun goes down on your day, the good times will continue with Nassau Paradise Island's array of casinos, nightclubs, and lounges. Test your luck with gaming and slot machines at Baha Mar Casino or the Atlantis Casino, sip on cocktails with premium views at  Skybar's rooftop lounge, or dance the night away at Atlantis Paradise Island's Dragons Ultra-Lounge.

Day 4: Horseback Riding & Bahamian Food Tours 

Shiver your timbers and visit the Pirate's Museum in downtown Nassau to learn about The Bahamas' rich pirate history and climb aboard a replica pirate ship. 

Now that you've built up an appetite, wander through downtown Nassau and make your palette happy with unique Bahamian flavors on a culinary tour hosted by Tru Bahamian Food Tours. The local guide will take you to six food and drink tastings at renowned local restaurants and one-of-a-kind specialty food stores. At the same time, you'll learn about the history, culture, and architecture that surround you on the three-hour tour. This authentically local experience will also introduce you to some of the city's hidden gems for live music, dancing, poetry, and more.

Day 5: Snorkel, Shop & Sunset Dinner Cruise 

Don't miss the opportunity to Snorkel the Ruins of Atlantis through the iconic lost city. Embark on a must-do snorkeling excursion and take advantage of the rare opportunity to explore the Ruins Lagoon while you swim in our enchanting waters. 

After this bucket list experience, head to downtown Nassau to check out some shops and grab some souvenirs for yourself and your loved ones back home. Discover local clothing, jewelry, crafts, and other Bahamian items that speak to the culture and creativity of Nassau Paradise Island.
